Torque Settings

Nothing too complicated here. If you know of any other Lambretta torque settings drop me an email. As I'm European (well English) all figures are expressed in kilograms-force metres. To convert use the following conversions:

Pounds-force feet (lbs-ft) = kg-m x 7.233
Newton metres (Nm) = kg-m x 9.804

Engine part LI Slimstyle
Rear hub  120 lbs/ft (early LI = 150 lbs/ft)
Flywheel  50 lbs/ft - 6.9 kg-m

Cylinder Head

1.9 – 2.2 kg-m (15 – 18 lbs/ft) (18 for TS1)

Cylinder exhaust and inlet nuts

0.48 – 0.53 kg-m

Magneto housing stud nuts

0.48 – 0.53 kg-m
Stator plate bolts 0.48 – 0.53 kg-m
Gear selector pinch bolts 0.48 – 0.53 kg-m
Endplate (flange) nuts 1.0 – 1.2 kg-m
Clutch bell centre nut 6.7 – 7.5 kg-m
Front sprocket bolt 3 – 3.5 kg-m
Side casing 10mm head nuts 0.48 – 0.53 kg-m
Brake shoe pivot pin 0.48 – 0.53 kg-m
Rear hub nut (tighten to the lowest figure first, then continue if needed to align the locking plate screw) 8 degree cone = 12 – 14 kg-m
11 degree cone = 15 – 16.5 kg-m (110 - 120 lbs-ft)
20 degree cone = 20.7 kg-m (150 lbs-ft)
Rear hub locking plate screw 1.4 – 1.5 kg-m
Fork link bolt and nut 5.5 – 5.6 kg-m
Front axle nut 5.5 – 5.6 kg-m
Wheel to hub nuts 2 – 2.3 kg-m
