Lifes a lot better when you ride a Lambretta

21 November 06 Here's some pics of the new CMSI "Lambretta" - the L-Series seen at a show in Milan [1] [2] [3] [4]
21 October 06 Here's the latest pics of my Italian Lambretta GP225 TS1 now that it's all working hunky dory.
14 October 06 Just brought an original British Lambretta LI125 series III for number 1 son. It's tatty but totally original with all stickers and paint.
1 October 06 So IOW went OK, only a few things fell off on the way there and back. For starters the Clauss Studio engine mounts are going to have to go as they're vibrating my TS1 to pieces! Now sorted the lights so they work required not when they want and fitted a brass quick action throttle cam from Scooter Loopy John which gives a great throttle action - nice piece  of engineering and highly recommended for any scooter fitted with a large carb.
22 August  06 Almost finished the scooter for IOW. Just got handlebar hydraulic parts back from Kev Reardon who polished them nicely - cheers Kev (very highly recommended - Woking area) All hydraulics now working and few final pieces to fit. Secret with these hydraulics was if in doubt bleed it again (and again!). I've posted some pics of the rear hydraulic disk brake, brake pedal and clutch to the hydraulics page here.
15 July  06 Got almost everything back from paint and although attempted to get it running for Camber Sands just didn't happen. Welding done, forks and front end rebuilt, engine back in with new urethane mounts and hydraulic clutch fitted. The hydraulic back brake is being a complete pain in the arse to set-up. Got it working at the weekend only for the master cylinder to go - swapped over but doesn't work now. Assume the clutch will be equally difficult. So what have I learnt? Forget what I say here it's bollocks, right tool for the job and for bleeding brakes there is only one (cheap) tool Eezi Bleed! Also dry rebuild  I'm sure the back brake set-up should've been easier.
15 July  06 Blimey 4 months since my last post! It's been a hydraulic-fest here at Chez Lloydy but getting hose and fittings has been an issue. This place stocks most stuff i.e. olives, banjo fittings and bolts - go for stainless, not cheap!
18 April 06 Legshields, running board, forks and headset top sent off for painting. Fork rubbers were in a right state (will post pics) no wonder the front end felt like it wanted to throw me off all the time! Got another grimeca master cylinder for the hydraulic clutch and got this setup working.
01 April 06 I'm just starting to think about getting my TS1 running sweet for the rally season, so lots of plans but need to actually start doing something! I'm getting some bodywork repaired & resprayed after a crash last summer (legshields, running board, headset) Got to weld a bracket to my precious italian GP200 frame for the rear hydraulic disk brake, remove the engine to replace the mountings & fit the rear hydraulic brake & clutch. Also need to rebuild the front hydraulic disk brake as it's totally crap, replace master cylinders & completely rebuild the forks in an attempt to improve handling. So fair amount of work to be done. Also have another entire GP200 TS1 which I need to rebuild & sell this summer if anyone is interested.
