UK - motor trimmers i.e. seat upholstery etc. Tel: 01483 426526/mobile: 07979 730447. Slow and unenthusiastic with small jobs (like scooters) but quality workmanship. Next is R.Clarke Welding, Reading. Tel: 01189 507735/mobile: 07803 477221. Superb craftsman and welder, especially with aluminium. Welded up multiple cracks in my aluminium GP chain case cover on the spot.
30 September 02 Got a new side panel and running board from Allstyles.  I think I've now got a gasket leak on the barrel/head after the thrashing I gave my scoot down the A3 and back!
24 September 02 Check out the MB Developments 2002 retro custom expansion chamber they're developing. Picture here.
14 September 02 Lambretta assassin picture.
04 September 02 This page is getting a bit boring so I'll be changing it to just have site updates & other snippets, such as this link to some Scooter Art
02 September 02 The Northern Soul Patrol.returned tonight on the Johnny Vaughan show
27 August 02 Great weather at the IOW this year. Coming back on the A3 my front tyre blew out. So I changed that, then 3 miles later I ran out of petrol! I then found that my GP side panel had fallen off couple of miles back & had been run over! Anyway met up with Jem Booth as arranged & brought an Innocenti GP clutch pressure plate & spider (cyanide hardened ) & a GP chain case cover off of him. This is an attempt to cure my clutch slip.
13 August 02 Been away so haven't updated until now. Also upgraded site so have more disk space, bandwidth may still be an issue but I'll see how August 2002 goes. Modified the parts page as some images were incorrect.
11 July 02 Updated the quick & dirty carb/jetting guide, click here for details.
09 July 02 Camber Sands 2002 was a good rally, although weather was shitty again. The TS1 performed well, used ~28L there & back (160-180 miles).
01 July 02 Picked up the remaining coated items from Cox's  (wheel rims, engine cowls) Looking into starting on the SS180 engine, need new crank con rod kit, piston, rebore, clutch plates etc.!
23 June 02 Cut & filed down the petrol tap lever to fit the repositioned petrol tap. Still need to drill a hole & fit this with a couple of split pins.
22 June 02 With the remainder of the tank repair/lining kit I've etched & sealed my old Lambretta fuel tank. Can't get the crap outta my hands though.
21 June 02 Just got the large tank back from the blasters/sprayers, pretty shitty job really. Using the tank repair/lining kit makes a total mess but this was easy compared to fitting the fucking tank into the Lambretta again. Jesus, I stripped one of the M8 threads (re-tapped) & scratched it several times. I really don't recommend buying one of these, it's far too much hassle & expensive to paint, line, fit etc.
19June 02  Tank repair kit eventually arrived, however they sent the wrong size & charged me accordingly (enough to do 60 gallon tank @ £30 + £4 P+P!). In all fairness they offered to collect & replace it but I need to sort this tank out sooner, rather than later.
14 June 02 Here's some nice (big) pictures of a Lambretta belonging to a chap named Dobbo [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] The frame is an Italian GP 125 1969 & engine is a Spanish SX200 fitted with a Honda 205, race crank with Spanish 150 gears (17/46 set up) It has a 30mm flat slide oval bore carb jetted to run with the AF 42mm clubman. It also has a twin tank & electronic ignition. The finish is a one off special powder coating using a technique developed by Trevor Harrison at Midas Touch.
10 June 02 Taking a bunch of stuff from the SS180 (cowls, rims etc.) & the large Lambretta tank to get blasted & powder coated (2 pack). I use Cox's of Whitley Wood, 306 Old Whitley Wood Lane,  Reading, Berks RG2 8QD - 0118 975 0289/07836 649137.
05 June 02 Ordered a kit to etch & seal the petrol tank. Cost £23 + £4 P&P from TS Eastwood Restoration Supplies - 0117 9352429.
28 May 02 Got pictures up of how to fit & a short review of the long range petrol tank.
25 May 02 I've moved & redirected Lloydy's Lambrettas & all of the content from the old Angelfire site content to my sons server smellofdeath.com
22 May 02 Gradually dismantling the SS180 engine. It's in great original condition but it looks like I'll need a new crank, piston etc. cause the existing one is rusted solid.
19 May 02 Ordered a 14.75l petrol tank from Burns Scooter Services. No aluminium ones left so have a steel one coming, full review once it arrives. I also plan to treat & coat the inside & have the whole thing powder coated.
12 May 02 Hauled the Vespa SS180 out of the shed, first time I've touched it since shipping it back +18 months ago. Engines out so I'm about to start rebuilding that, getting wheel rims/engine cowls blasted & coated & the seat re-covered. I'll attempt to document the steps to get it running for your entertainment.
07 May 02 Have a TV175 series III for sale, check the "Scooters For Sale" page for details.
03 May 02 Updated the carb & jetting page with some quick setup guides for different carb/exhaust combinations.
02 May 02 Check out this German site "Worb 5 Scooterparts" They have some great trick products i.e. drops, eccentric crank pins, etc.
30 April 02 Driving to the Boxhill Ride Out, the throttle cable snapped on my TS1. Didn't have a spare with me so removed the inner & hand operated the throttle all the way home, with my son on the back. Replaced the cable & caned the scooter all the way to Boxhill & back to Shalford Club (without son on back!) Fan cowling also came loose & needed a bolt as it was rubbing, gotta love those Lambrettas!
09 April 02 Added a two stroke piston colour page to assist in diagnosis of problems. This can be found on the troubleshooting page.
09 April 02 Updated the GP225TS1 page with some recent pictures. Also started a Lambretta front disk brake rebuild/how to page
07 April 02 After adjusting the clutch properly I took the TS1 out for a long run. Seems a lot better now but still slips when it hits the power band, which limits top speed unless you really creep up there slowly.
06 April 02 Updated pictures of the Vespa small frame - best offer secures - click here.
02 April 02 Check out the Lambretta Laboratory. Some great Lambretta engineering going on here including a series 4 kit & RX250/CRX250 conversions.
29 March 02 Thanks to everyone for feedback what to do with my TS1 clutch woes. Rebuilt the clutch today with a Surflex 5-plate (5-plate NewFren wouldn't fit!), 5 standard springs & the centre spring & although it seems better it still slips!! Ran out of time so will re-adjust & re-test. Maybe add a thicker clutch top plate (GP=3mm vs LI/SX= 2.5mm) or screw it all & go for a 6-plate £££££!
27 March 02 Here's some pictures of the ScootRS front hydraulic disk brake [1] [2] [3] [4] Only $169!
20 March 02 I've been so fucked off with scooters lately I've done nothing apart from sell the PX150 project. The Taffspeed tuned Vespa 90 is still for sale (now £550 o.n.o, click here
09 March 02 The 4th Nightshift Northern Soul night at the Bisley Pavillion was superb, well done to Pete Kelross et all.
08 March 02

Check out the drop handlebars, dual petrol tank and front hydraulic disk brake that ScootRS has for sale.

07 March 02 In answer to the last question, no the clutch nightmare doesn't look like ending. Fitting the new clutch was a complete pain in the arse & now it's so stiff I can hardly change gear. Looks like another strip down!!! This really is not funny anymore. Nevertheless the clutch doesn't slip anymore!
05 March 02 Attempting to fit the clutch again last night with a new centre spring & the 5 standard ones. To cut a long story short I ended up snapping the nipple off of the clutch pressure plate when compressing the clutch using the tool. Called Taffspeed who mentioned that Adiage and Surflex 5-plate clutch plates are shite & they recommend & fit Newfren to their 5-plates using their 5 strong springs. So I've ordered up a new clutch pressure plate & a set of Newfren corks. Will this clutch nightmare never end?
03 March 02 Click here for pictures of the two Vespas for sale below.

10 February 02 Fitted new 5 plate clutch no problems, took it out for a long ride & it still SLIPS!! I guess I'll have to fit some stronger springs than those supplied by AF Rayspeed, however this  involves stripping it down again! Here some pictures of the clutch sprocket [1] [2] [3] Now where's my hammer I'm going to smash this scooter into a million pieces.
07 February 02 Created a new "howto" section on installing a TS1 kit onto your Lambretta 200cc. Click here

28 January 02 Just got back from Vancouver B.C. & visiting Portland, Oregon. Spent time with the family & snowboarding at Mount Seymour & Cypress Bowl so didn't get to visit Dennis at Scooter MD or anyone else. However a big thanks to all the P-Town scooterists, especially Greg & Joanna & from Ptown Scooters, Terry, Mike, Steve & Patrick.
06 January 02 Got the clutch bell back from AF Rayspeed, quick turn around (3 days). Checked it out & it seems OK, clutch plates now fit nicely. Not going to have time to fit it for a couple of weeks as I'm off to Vancouver B.C and Portland, Oregon visiting friends & family & snowboarding.
02 January 02 Happy New Year & all that. Here's a long range Lambretta fuel tank complete with fixings for $70.00. Looks nice but this isn't an endorsement, so click here for information or here for a pic.
