Lifes a lot better when you ride a Lambretta

28 December 03  Chris Sadd of CS Engineering is the man behind the Lambretta hydraulic goodies fitted to Pride, Charlatans, Spiderman etc. He's recently started small scale production of hydraulic clutches, front and rear brakes. If you've seen any of these scoots you'll know the engineering workmanship is superb and quality cannot be beaten. I've given up on my hydraulic clutch conversion (nightmare!) and will be contacting him again in the New Year when I have some spare £££. In the meantime his contact details can be found here.
18 December 03  In response to the Lambretta USA posts doing the rounds and after requests for input into  possible requirements for a new production Lambretta model, the boys at Lambretta Laboratory have some REAL info and pics of a current slant on the same theme. Their Lambretta frames modified to take auto engines are very trick and have been around for a while. The front anti-dive double front disk brake is now in production! Click here.
08 December 03  Lambretta comes back to the USA "True Love Always Returns" - What the Fuck? See press release
31 November 03 There's been some updates on the Gran Turismo cast iron barrel conversion. Production and delivery date is expected to be mid December 2003.
39 November 03 I've a Krober-Pitsch LZ13 tachometer that I'm wondering whether to use on the Lambretta or sale (£110 click here if interested). Been very lazy with my scoots recently and apart from some work on a Lambretta hydraulic conversion there's been nothing going on in the workshop.
27 November 03 This bloke has been building some great scooters for years, Scooter Garage.
11 November 03 Working on stuff, Vespa SS180 engine rebuild, TS1 Lambretta winter update i.e. legshield toolbox, rev. counter conversion/info, hydraulic clutch  - updates sometime soon(ish).
30 September 03 ScootRS have just started manufacturing and selling a Lambretta SX200/TV175 1st gear., only $22 / £14 / 19 (£ & are approximate)
27 September 03 Wickstead parts fair in Kettering was alright, no Lambretta deals!
24 September 03 Interesting development regarding the "GranTurismo" (not the new Piaggio scooter) This is an iron barrelled reed valve conversion for 125/150/175 Lambrettas. The above Granturismo link, it includes 3D drawings and models of the barrel and manifold. I've checked these out and it looks pretty swish and could turn out to be cheaper alternative for small engined lammies. Added link here. Gran Sport in Birmingham have test sprinter if you fancy a try.
17 September 03 Mate of mine Marty took some great pics at IOW and Mersea rally this year. I've started uploading some of them, however they're enormous (600K minimum) I'll try to get round to shrinking them down a bit, but in the meantime browse them here.
15 September 03 The TS1 was playing up whilst on the ride to Brighton this weekend for "Deckchairs at Dawn 4" Not sure what's wrong with it (bogging down) but I'm sure it's not that serious. However I couldn't be bothered to fix it and it got me back home. This Winter I'll strip the engine down to rebuild the upgrade the clutch and redo the barrel/head gaskets, which I'm sure are leaking.
07 September 03 "South's 30th Wigan Anniversary" do @ Bisley Pavillion was superb, as always - cheers Pete!
26 Aug 03 Isle of Wight was outstanding over the bank holiday weekend. The LSSC have a member on the island so we had a superb apartment in the centre of Ryde (overlooking the area where all the scooters park!) The Squadron on Friday was good laugh and I enjoyed Hipshaker more than last year, mainly because I wasn't as drunk.
18 Aug 03 Updated links for carbs (added some Imola/Dellorto 28/30 PHBH info) and gearboxes
08 Aug 03 Removed the scooter girls section as all that's showing up on my Atomz search listing are searches for naked girlies (eeerrmm this is a Lambretta site!) If you want Scooter babes click the link and don't bother visiting my site.
21 July 03 A friend of mine, Ryan Basile has donated an aluminium covered GP Lambretta to a raffle to help raise $$$ for medical bills for a scooterist called Darren Lopez's. Go to www.scomo.net to check out the raffle page.
18 July 03 Looks like MB Developments are doing some interesting and innovative research into manufacturing new improved Lambretta pistons, cranks, close ratio gearboxes, electronic ignitions and exhausts.
14 July 03 Not much been going on, Camber Sands was a good crack, mates Indian/TS1 engine has a large hole in it thanks to the kickstart shaft (pics to come) SS180 still in a gazzilion bits but have the barrel and the crank rebuilt back now so need to start on with that.
01 July 03  As my 120mph speedo no longer works (doesn't shows mph) and was never accurate, I've been looking around for a tachometer for a while. I've updated the TS1 page to include some that are available for two-stroke applications.
28 June 03  Eurocarb Ltd is a great place to contact for Dellorto carb parts. Details are: 36B Westwood Rd, Tilehurst. Reading. RG31 5PW. Tel: 0118-943 1180 / Fax: 0118-943 1190.
15 June 03 Refitted the new hydraulic disk caliper for my front brake (how-to in progress). Swapped wheels over with an S1 and the Michelin Air-Stop inner tube valve keeps hitting on the r.h.s fork nut. Had this happen before and it ended with the valve being ripped out @ 70mph, so will change wheel again!
14 June 03 Just started the hydraulic disk brake series. The page on bleeding/filling the system is finshed, installation how- to almost finished.
12 June 03 Classic barn find Lambretta here.
09 June 03 This update page was getting too big and taking a while to load so I've split it out into years.
07 June 03 Just thought I'd mention that any material found on this site can be copied, stolen, plagiarised whatever you like, totally without my permission. I'm not one of those pricks who thinks that pictures and information that reside on their web site is copyrighted etc. Rant over.
02 June 03 Been busy building a TS1 for Hunty (LSSC/Northern Soul Patrol) new 200 casing, Broady stage 2 TS1 225 & crank, Dellorto VHSA 30mm, PM exhaust, 19/47 setup, MB kevlar head/flywheel cowlings & lotsa stainless - this thing will fly, even with Hunty's fat arse on it!!

29 May 03 Just got back from visiting Portland, Oregon for work/play. Loadsa fun with the scooter kids there as usual, completely knackered now and need a new liver. Hi to my good American friend, Greg Daane @ Scootouring, top banana.

21 April 03  Went to Great Yarmouth for Saturday night (400 mile round trip) VFM do was crap but it was good night out nonetheless.
17 April 03  Fitted the ScootRS disk brake & will upload article soon. Few problems including fun with brake fluid but it all works like a charm.
10 April 03  AF Rayspeed have apparently been busy developing a AF250 Rapido conversion barrel which needs a 60mm crank and a ton of aluminium removing from the crank mouth. A prototype has already been built and is running.
02 April 03 Take a look at this GP225 LC belonging to Martin Leech of Colchester DVLC - unbelievable engineering!
31March 03 The ScootRS hydraulic disk brake showed up, looks like a nice bit of kit. Although the supplied black rubber hose will suffice, I've ordered 900mm of stainless Goodridge brake hose from John @ ScooterLoopy.
